Bon
Chocolat is a small chocolatier specializing in handmade chocolate
truffles. All of our chocolate creations are made in small batches
using only the finest quality ingredients available. We start with
fine European chocolate and add the creamiest of creams. We flavor
our ganache with fresh fruits, fine liquors and quality spices. Because
we do not add preservatives or artificial flavors, our bonbons have
a short shelf life and we are constantly in the kitchen preparing
fresh batches of delectable truffles.
Bon Chocolat is the creation of Master Chocolatier Teresa Whitaker. From an early age, Teresa enjoyed spending time baking cookies and chocolate desserts for family and friends. A holiday magazine spurred her interest in chocolate truffles. After repeatedly finding herself in the kitchen at 3:00 a.m. perfecting truffle recipes, she decided she had found her passion and began pursuing a career in chocolate making.
Teresa completed her Professional Chocolatier program through Ecole Chocolat’s School for Professional Chocolate Arts. She completed her Maitre Chocolatier certification though Ecole Chocolat in Vancouver under the guidance of Maitre Chocolatier, Joanne Mogridge, Cocoa West Chocolatier.
